Who runs the service
buses787 is a service of VP&A LLC, in Puerto Rico. It is the English version of guaguas787.com. This policy covers this website, buses787.com. If you have questions about your data, write to us at privacidad@guaguas787.com.
What happens when you use the website
- Your browser asks your permission to share your location. If you allow it, we send it to our server only to find the nearest stops and the buses coming to them. We do not store it, not even an approximate area, and we do not write it in our logs.
- While the page is open, it updates the buses every minute, for up to 20 minutes, with your location at that moment.
- We do not ask for your phone number, name or an account, and we store nothing that identifies you.
- buses787 uses no cookies and no tracking or analytics tools, and our page stores nothing in your browser.
- To prevent abuse, our server counts, for up to one day and in memory only, how many lookups come from each internet (IP) address. It counts them by a code from which the address cannot be recovered, and it neither stores them nor writes them in our logs.
- We count how many lookups we receive each day, by channel (this English site among them), with no data on who made them. Our data page (in Spanish) shows what share of lookups comes through each channel.
- We also count how many different connections visit the website each day, with a code that changes daily and from which neither the internet address nor the browser can be recovered. That code exists only in memory during the day; we store only the total.
What we never store
- Your location, exact or approximate. We use it only at the moment of the lookup and then discard it.
- Your address. We never turn your location into an address.

buses787.com shows no ads at this time. If we add them, we will update this policy first.
Who we share data with
We do not sell or share your data. To work out arrival times we ask the transit systems about the coordinates of the lookup, without anything that identifies you. Everything between your browser and our server is encrypted (HTTPS).
How long we keep data
We keep no record of you, so there is nothing to delete. The daily totals above are kept without any data about who made the lookups.
